Well, now you got me but I actually do know all about DOS...aren't you
surprised and your response did make me laugh.
Thanks, I enjoyed it.
Toni

And what version of DOS are you running :) ?!?

Thanks a lot, Michael for the information on what to do.
Believe it or not, I'm still using Roxio Easy CD Creator 5. My husband has

the lasted version installed on his PC and wanted to install it on mine and
I
wouldn't let him, crazy but true.
I know my Roxio and I'm a typical woman and I want to use what I know and
not learn all over again...:)
Hopefully, someone on the list will come up with something to help me with
all the CD's I've already burned.
Toni

Depends on the version of Roxio, I suppose, but I have the latest version
and if you're in an Audio Project you click on the "Project Settings"
button
and check the box that says "Maximize Volume of each track". And yes, this
must be done before the CD is burned.

Ron & Michael
Thank you and since I use Roxio, I should just go into the program and
look

for normalize? You also said before burning, well what do I do about
after

they are already burned? Would it be too late to just use normalize on
Roxio
or what do I do?
Toni

That's correct. There are filters you can use on a track or tracks in Nero
before burning an Audio CD. One of the filters is "Normalize" which, you
guessed it, can be used to normalize the volume level.

I'm not sure, but I think that Nero has a setting that makes the sound
level
uniform among all the sound files burned to the CD.

Subject: TSGL: A PROGRAM TO CONTROL THE SOUND ON A CD

I'm back and looking for a program that will automatically control the
sound on CD's that I make. One song is so low I have to crank up the
sound
and some songs are so loud that all 5 dogs literally start barking. It
is
funny but the loudness really does startle them as well as me and I do
pamper my babies.
I tried a program a year or so ago and it was completely useless and as
usual, I can't remember the name but I do remember it was free, probably
why it didn't work.
Any help anyone could provide me with will be greatly appreciated and if
possible, I'd be real happy if it were free. It looks like I'm going to
have to shake the money tree to buy the program that "The TSGL
Troubadours"
talked me into buying and NOD32 (please no emails as it was a really
"nice
dig",
Hon<G>)
Thanks a lot and I'll be right back with my third and final request, I
hope.
