I work for Blackboard, but not in the area she's having problems with.
Regardless, I'll give it a shot -
Try going into add/remove programs and remove every instance of the Java
Runtime Environment,
...also known as the Java Virtual Machine, or 'JVM'
...also known as the "J2SE Runtime Environment."
Basically, get all the Java plugins out of there. Once they're ALL
uninstalled (could be as many as 10 or more) go to http://www.java.com/ and
install the latest one, ensuring you wind up with ONE Java Engine.
Once you've done that, disable any spyware scanners they have running and
then download and install Windows Defender:
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
...then do a deep scan.
Cross your fingers and that should take care of it.
