Hi SAm,

I suppose you've checked Control Panel/Regional and Language Options
Regional Options/Customise
Languages/Details?
Might also be worth looking at the Advanced section, for which you'll need
the CD to make any changes.

With the US-keyboard layout, you can get the £ sign by pressing Alt and
number keys 156

Cheers,

John

Subject: TSGL: Problems by the Pound

Greetings

I recently built a new desktop PC and installed Office 2003 Pro
and IE7.

My problem is that in both applications, wherever British prices are shown,
the "£" pound sign is often - but not always - replaced with an uppercase
"J".

I can't locate any logical reason for this. My browser of choice is Maxthon
and the same problem occurs, but NOT in Firefox.

I have identical software (configured identically) installed on my laptop
and another desktop with no problem.

Any ideas anyone?

Sam Mawby
