Hi, Chuck.
Instead of attaching, use copy and paste.
Method A (with animated figure saved only in email you are sending
---
Compose your email with space for your animation.
Right-click on the animated figure, and click "Copy."
At desired place/location in email, right-click your cursor and click
"Paste."
Method B (with animated figure saved on your HDD for use now and in future
if desired) ---
Compose your email with space for your animation.
Right-click on the animated figure, and click "Save picture as ..." (naming
as desired, ensuring that it ends in .gif, and noting where you are saving
it if, like me, you don't use Windows' default location). (I note you have
already done this.)
Using My Computer or (my preference) Windows Explorer, locate your saved
picture and Open it.
Right-click on the picture, and click "Copy."
At desired place/location in email, right-click your cursor and click
"Paste."
With either method, have fun.

Subject: Re: TSGL: GIFs in an email
the email I received was text..........gif..............text
when I click on forward all I have is text..text
(not even any room for the gif).
I sent it to myself just to check, and no pic was included.
I've forwarded many email with embedded pix,
but, I think, never an animated GIF before.
I did right click on the pic and save it,
then built an email and attached the pic
but that of couse tacks the pic on the end,
not where it had been.
I am using Yahoo mail.

gone".
Have you tried right-clicking on it in the original email and saving it to
your hard drive. Then insert it into a new email. (Be sure it gets saved as
a .gif instead of any other file format or it won't be animated.)

I received an email with a moving GIF embedded in it
(Kerry and Kennedy as Laurel & Hardy. Funny)
When I go to forward the email, the GIF is gone.
Tried MSIE7 and Firefox. Gone.
I think it should forward, just like someone sent
(forwarded?) it to me in the first place.
I'm on XP sp2. Any ideas on how to fix this situation?
