TSGL: Cannot print a doc file

Ed,

I think you're indicating it has been saved as a "gif" file. Will Irfanview
(I'm not familiar with this program) let you open the file and perhaps do a
"save as" or "conversion" to some other format...ideally into a "jpg"
format.

If Irfanview won't do this for you...the old Microsoft "Paint" program will.
Also, if you just need to print it out...won't Irfanview let you print it.
And again, the Paint program should print it for you.

My thoughts...

Subject: TSGL: Cannot print a doc file

Hi -

This is new experience for me. I need some heavy assisstance.

I scanned an important insurance claim form and supporting info as a
"text/image" file, and saved it to My Documents. I am able to open it, read
it, but cannot print it.

It jut so happens that I have to resend the information to the insurance
company, as they say the original was misplaced. The file opens in Word
2000, but CTRL-P, nor File>print, nor clicking the print icon will activate
my HP Inkjet - which is in fine working order.

While Word was open, I printed a test sheet without problem and it was anle
to print another Word text file without delay.

As a text/image scanned file, it was labeled ".gif" and "iconed" with the
Irfanview icon. I went to Irfanview, opened the file which was well
over-sized, resized it to 8x10, but still could not Print the file.

The darn thing is there, but I can't seem to get it out. I need a solid
suggestion. Thanks.

ED
