TSGL: Mouse Problem

Here's an update on my friend's left-click problem, with special
thanks to William and Don. We may never know what the real issue
was.
He decided that instead of screwing around with the problem, he
would go back to IE6. He called me and we went through the process
of deleting IE7, and the problem went away. The next day he then
decided that he actually liked the IE7 interface better and wanted
to change back to IE7. A Windows update fixed that for him.
His new IE7 didn't have the left-click problem any more, but gave
him an error message when he tried to exit the program. Last night
I went over there and after a search of the Microsoft pages managed
to fix that. So now he's happy. He has IE7 and no apparent
problems. Let's hope it stays that way.
We'll never know what the original problem was (although I suspect
Java). Frankly, I moved away from IE to Firefox over a year ago and
never looked back, so a lot of IE7 is a mystery to me anyway.
As an aside, I've been playing with Linux for the last few months
and like it more all the time. Maybe I'll get rid of Windows
completely and can plead ignorance when friends ask me for computer
help on their Windows machine.
Thanks again, guys.
