If you really don't IE7 at all, you can uninstall it and Windows
will revert to IE6.  To keep the automatic update from bugging you
about it, there's a nifty little program that will do that. It's at
http://dailycupoftech.com/disable-ie7-installation-via-windows-update/.

I put it on our computers at home and it works fine.  It's also
reversible if you change your mind some day.
