TSGL: Disable Error Reporting

Russ,

I see that I over-stepped when I implied that sending these error
reports was in any way doing "their job for them". I, for one, am
certainly not qualified to have made that statement.

To improve an OS, they need to have thousands of people banging away on
it and reporting their results. I'm sure that they daily receive a huge
number of reports from around the world -which in turn helps them
recognize what problems people are having with their products en masse.

My missive was so worded because Toni referred to them as "bums" and I
can appreciate the frustration end users must often feel. I agree that
most of the time, the problem is with the machine that has crashed, not
the OS. In light of that, what I meant to point out was that if you're
having to send many multiples of error messages per day, AND you suspect
it's a problem in your machine, the error reporting CAN be turned off.

Your report that they actually contacted you after sending an error
report is a shock to me. For years I've been led to believe otherwise. I
welcome and am encouraged by this news. I'll re-think this whole issue.
