TSGL: Re RE: USB poor performance with Broadband. What to fit card to.

The picture as sent by Geoff Glave and I thank you for sending it is not quite the same as mine as the microphone and headset connections are on the opposite side and no label to say PC Card and Smart Card Slots, but never mind does this Ethernet card slot in like a modem card as I have two spare places one above the other, could that maybe what I am looking for. Could this be the case?
