TSGL: MS Visual C++ Runtime Error

Something strange happened to me today. I am all of a sudden unable to
right-click my mouse on any of my files (data, audio, video, image). I get
the following error message:

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more info".

I guess TSGL is my support team.

Google had something listed, vaguely related to this, but I didn't
understand it. I tried System Resore ... it worked, but didn't correct it.
I thought it might have something to do with MS Office. I
uninstalled/reinstalled my Office 2003, but to no avail either.

Once a file has been opened with left click, I can then proceed
right-clicking. This is confined to files only ... all programs open with
right click.

Does anybody have any potent ideas to restore this to normal?

Dieter
