TSGL: AVG

You may or may not need both! It all depends on which version of Zone Alarm
you have. If Zone Alarm includes Anti-Virus software, you don't need or even
want another Anti-Virus software such as AVG. Running two Anti-Virus
software applications will slow down your machine considerably and they may
even interfere with each other.
But Zone Alarm (Free Version) does not contain Anti-Virus software, so if
you are running that, you need something like AVG running alongside. The
basic rule is that you need one Anti-Virus software running on your
computer, but only one.
And yes, Ewido has been purchased by Grisoft, which also owns AVG, and is
evidently a part of AVG 7.5 (according to the Ewido web site). I am not
sure, however, if it is a part of the free version of 7.5. A quick viewing
of the Grisoft web site did not confirm or deny this.

Subject: TSGL: AVG
Hi all. I don't use AVG, but I do use Zone Alarm. Do they basically do the
same thing or do I need both? Btw, I do have the free edition of ewido
(3.5). Is ewido now a part of the new 7.5 version of AVG?
Thanks
Glenn
