Mr. Davis,
Thanks for the information.
I tries it all and nothing seems to change for me.
All I get is a small screen with a add on bottom.
I'll keep looking and maybe find one of my backup files to correct this.

Len,
I've only been following this thread casually but if I understand your
problem correctly you might adapt the following:
I have a dos window opened from a shortcut which, I think, is what
you're describing. In the properties/layout tab of the shortcut I use:
Screen Buffer Size - Width = 154, Height = 3000
Window Size - Width = 154, Height = 44
In the font tab I use:
Font = 5x12 raster
The Window Size controls the size of the window that appears on your
screen. The font size and the Window Size above are related. This font
has a width of 5px and the window has a width of 154 characters
(5x154=770 plus a few pixels for the dos window borders equals about
800px which is the width of my screen. The same calculation can be made
for the height of my screen.). If your screen resolution is different
you will have to play with the numbers. As I remember, when I was doing
this I picked a font I liked and just kept adjusting the numbers,
Window Width & Height, until it was big enough.
The Screen Buffer Size is the virtual space that is viewed through the
actual dos window. My Height setting of 3000 means it saves the last
3000 lines and I can scroll back that many lines. If more than 3000
lines have been written to the screen the earlier ones are lost (to my
viewing, at least). Since the Width setting is the same for the Window
and Screen Buffer I have no horizontal scrolling.
