TSGL: Firefox does not recognize profile

After restarting computer Firefox opened with page announcing that Firefox had been
updated. Fine except that all bookmarks, extensions, theme had disappeared.

Tried restoring profile per instructions to no avail. Running XP home, all updates,
Firefox vers 1.5.07.

Anyone with similar experience?
