TSGL: Scanner cannot find Twain driver

Don,
what you experience sounds like what I've gone through in the past with
an Agfa scanner. There I found detailed directions on the web, step by
step, and if I recall correctly, there too one had install the software
before connecting the hardware. And also I had to get rid of each and
any of the old settings, be it inside the registry or whereever (this
was good o' Win2k).
Another story is the driver you use. There might be a different one (new
or even an earlier version!?) around. Have you been to the Mitsubishi
support website? Or have you searched the web for it? Might be worth a
try.
Sorry that I don't have more detailed hints.
