TSGL: DVD to CD

A regular DVD player will generally play only VCD and DVD formatted discs.

VCD is pretty awful quality.

I think the MPEG you may be referring to is MPEG4 otherwise known as Div-X

You will need a standalone player that can play Div-X to play the disc.
