Well, please ignore this relic, I sent this 10/22/2006 2:15:44 P.M. Eastern
Standard Time
Strange that is has EST because we're still on EDT.
I don't know where it's been but I hope it had fun out there in dark playing
with all the other emails.
All is not lost as it found it's way home at 10:13 which is a pretty decent
time.
We were following the DVD-RW & CD-RW not writeable because I just got a
Dell 700XPS
360 GB HD
Dual Graphic Card 7900 GTX
System: Intel Core Duo w/ 4GB RAM
Sony DVD-RW~2 each
Floppy Drive
Windows Media Drive
We were trying to keep track of all the responses "just incase" and know
with the mix-up in mail we're completely lost because we never got the rest of
the story...:(
Well, it's 10,25,06 and 10:50 PM EDT, hope you get this.
Toni
Russ:
I sent in a response to The Guys on the list that I too had the same
problem.
I sent it at 11:22:46 AM EDT and it's about 2:15PM.
Do you think it's TSGL's Server and the Keeper of the Server?
Toni
Jon,
I frequently see answers to problems before I see the original email. I'm
not sure why this is, but I'd bet your problem and this one is related.
Russ Coover
I am trying to find myself. If you see me before I do, please ask me to
wait
until I return.

Hmmm, this reply from me took 2 1/2 days to get to the list and back to me.
I've suspected similar delays in the past. Surely this can't be typical?

Have you looked at Nero Toolkit/ Nero Info Tool, Ron?
Choose CD/DVD or CD or DVD at top right. What does it say about the disc?
Does it perhaps need erasing?
Since you have the same problem with two RW drives, it sounds more like a
disc problem than a drive problem.

Subject: TSGL: DVD-RW & CD-RW not writeable
Hi list,
I've just recently had my two DVD-RW drives stop recognizing rewriteable
media. I am using Nero Ultra 7.5 and I still seem to be able to burn CD-Rs.
I haven't tested DVD-R because I don't want to waste the DVD (yet). However,
InCD reports that I cannot write to the RW media and Windows Explorer shows
0 bytes free. This behaviour has just started recently, but I don't know of
any system changes that would have produced this effect, although there
obviously was something. I have re-installed Nero, but that hasn't made any
difference.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
System: Intel Core Duo w/ 4GB RAM
Benq DVD-RW
Sony DVD-RW
WinXP SP2 (fully patched)
Ron
