Hi,
thanks for the hint - I'm not using gmail though and also no web mail or similar services.
>From all the lists I am on and other email exchanges TSGL is the only one (sofar) with this particular problem of not getting back my own mail, leave alone the astonishingly long delays.
TSGL btw offers the option to get sent back one's own messages (if I recall this correctly). I checked that setting, and it's alright. Of course I still have my own posts, each goes into the SENT folder. It's just that I need full threads in order to be up to date with each discussion.

Tilman,
I don't know your particular e-mail set up but in my case I have several
e-mail addresses which I forward to my gmail account. I access the gmail
account from my local e-mail client, Thunderbird.
Gmail, in its infinite wisdom, has decided that if I post something to
the TSGL list which is then returned to my gmail inbox, it would be
silly to send it to me since I wrote it. Therefore I never see any of my
posts unless someone replies to my post. Then I will see his post with
my post included with his reply.
If I access my gmail account though my web browser I can see my post.
It's only if I access it via the POP interface using my local e-mail
client that this problem arises.
It may be that some other systems also do this although I would suspect
it would more likely be web mail based services. I don't think this
would explain the delayed responses only missing your own posts.
