TSGL: Wife's computer won't shut down (feedback on original post)

Previously I believe I reported in here that I'd tried Spy Sweeper
recently for the full 30-day trial, and
was very disappointed in that it never found a single critter with for
total-system weekly scans over that time. Apparently the existing
system protections (NOD32, Ad-Aware Plus, PestPatrol, SpyBot S&D, and
ZoneAlarm Pro) have been doing the job adequately. I was curious about
all the praise heaped on Webroot's program, and wanted to see if it
would do a better job. Evidently not.
I didn't have the shutdown problem, but after reading some queries on
Webroot's support area, it appears that in the latest release they've
made it very resistent to shutdown (even Task Manager is thwarted!),
and there are several complaints about overall system slowdown as well.
Perhaps by digging deeply into Spy Sweeper's options and controls there
may be something to cure
this shutdown problem or one could use good ol' Enditall 2
(*http://tinyurl.com/ottj9) *to help the process,
but IMHO, why bother? If you want to pay their subscription fee and
keep it, I suppose you can manually disable it just before every system
shutdown
BTW, Enditall is a great tool for quickly closing down all running aps
before installing new software or
updates, thereby preventing conflicts between the installer and existing
programs. Remember to disable your internet connection first, since it
shuts off /everything/ except Explorer and Taskbar!
