TSGL: Disappearing OE

I've had this happen before. Don't know the cause, but ever since changing the "store folder" location from C to a different drive it hasn't happened again. If you don't have a second drive I think moving it to another partition would work just as well. Something about having it in that default C location....it's a little funky.

A friend using a new PC (XP Home, AMD 3200+ 512MB RAM 120GB HDD)suddenly lost all his emails, wherebye a fresh install of Outlook Express appeared with the usual introductory email from MS. No populated .dbx were to be found.

In desperation, I finally tried a system restore and, hey presto! everything was back.

This has happened twice in two weeks. Firewall, AV and antispyware are in place.

Any ideas?

P.S. Hope this gets there this year...
