If you use the delete history in IE/options, you will remove all your
web site addresses and you don't want to delete you favourites.
Run regedit and browse to the following key,
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs
Right click on the urls that you don't need and click delete.
Hope this helps you.

Subject: TSGL: deleting from address (?) bar
Windows XP Home edition
Not sure what it's called-- the drop-down menu space at the bottom that
says "address" and retains the web site addresses you've been to.... How
do I delete from that list? I have people use my computer to check
their email, and other things I'm not interested in keeping, but I seem
to
get stuck with all those addresses, making it hard to find the ones I do
want to keep.
Thanks.
