If you will right click on the "my network places" icon on your desktop, (IF
DISPLAYED) select properties from the menu, you should see all your
connection types:

Local area connection
Wireless connection
1394 connection

Right click on the entry for wireless connection and select "view available
wireless networks"

This will display all wireless connections within range of your wireless
adapter.....

Note:

If you don't see the "My network places" icon on your desktop, you can
access it from either the start menu, (XP Style start menu) or from the
control panel.

Subject: TSGL: Networks

Hi All,

I am using win xp pro with SP1 with a Laptop.

I would like to know where, if anyplace, there is a program that will tell
me which networks are in my vicinity. I thought there was one that is
included in Win Xp, but I cannot find it. I can connect to my router on my
desktop, but I would like to know if there are other accessible networks.

Thanks,

Len
