TSGL: List problems

For the benefit of members, I have been in touch with Mike Cermak, the List
owner, about the delay problems many of us have been experiencing with this
List recently.

With his permission, here's his reply. Hang in there, girls and guys. With
luck, all will be fixed with the new server.

"As far as I know Raymond, has disappeared (maybe someone else would like
to take his position?)...

Thanks for the heads up, but we've actually been looking into this for a
while.

Anyway, I've checked out the issue a few times, and even sent a few test
messages a few weeks back. I hired two server techs to check it out, but
they weren't able to replicate the problem or find anything that might
cause the issue. Unfortunately, as the list is only an expense, it's
difficult for me to allocate any additional resources to try to track
down this issue. The good news, though, is that the server it's running
on is getting replaced at the end of this month! At this point, I'm
just hoping that things will magically start working properly on the new
server.

I know a lot of people would hate to see it die, and it feels like it's
been a sort of long
painful death for the last few weeks. Parts for the new server just
started arriving today, so keep your fingers crossed and feel free to
check in anytime. I'll try to remember to send you an email to let
everyone know when we switch things over. With any luck, you'll notice
without me saying so.

Mike"
