TSGL: Compaq wont boot

Thanks PCP for the info.
I was able to run the scandisk /undo, and it ran through some promising 
screens that said it had reverted back to Sunday when the scandisk was run.
As far as I can tell though, nothing changed on the disc.
I still have around 8000 files named File0001.chk and counts to the 
File7995.chk which are recovered file fragments files.

Soooo, unless someone has a magic wand I will call this a lesson learned and 
move on to do a reformat and reinstall the system.
