TSGL: 32 bit and memory limitations

Hi,
I will soon receive a new system with Windows Vista Home Premium. The PC
will have 4GB of installed RAM on the MB. I have however heard that as a
32 bit system has 4GB as the limit of how much memory can be used, the
utilization of the RAM will be less. That is because the OS will need to
allocate memory for GPU, page file etc.
Does anyone know the facts here? Out of the 4GB RAM, how much can I
actually use?
