Bob,
have you checked the programs/files that might get started with windows (Autostart/Autorun)? Any one of them could do this, although I haven't seen this happen myself.
There are programs out there that can restore screen resolution, like setres or other progs at http://www.download.com/3120-20-0.html?qt=restore%2520screen%2520resolution or also at http://www.freewarefiles.com/search.php?query=restore%20screen%20resolution&boolean=all
Good luck
Tilman

Betreff: TSGL: Resolution reset at bootup
I have my monitor resolution set to 1024x728. After
shutting down the computer and restarting it the
resolution sets itself to 800x600 and changes the order
of my screen icons as well.
Any idea what might be causing this?
Or does anyone know of a freeware desktop locking
program that will prevent this?
Win XP SP2, all updates, AMD 3000+
Thanks
Bob
