Ed,

I have IE7 open with 5 tabs (5 separate web pages). It is consuming 4008k,
about 4 MB memory. I don't think IE7 is your problem.

I am trying to find myself. If you see me before I do, please ask me to wait
until I return.

Subject: TSGL: Is IE7 a RAM gobbler?

Hi -

By accident, I noticed that when IE7 is active, it seems to command all of
my RAM for its' pursuits first, and allows the balance to be divided among
other programs. It seemed to be causing a general instability with my XPPro
SP2 and 512RAM; the cursor danced by itself and then would freeze; there
would be no response to clicking....

I didn't believe it possible, and as an outside chance I uninstalled IE7,
leaving IE6 remain, and continued to use Firefox as primary browser. No more
funny stuff occurred.

Of course, it could have been caused by "updates" which come onboard
automatically?

And then again, it may be me and a bit of eye strain.

ED
