TSGL: Moving to a new HD too

  hi
    we have a  Compaq(?) desktop p-4 1.8ghz in our club office.
  I hear it has been having a bootup problem. Haven't any details
  yet. Do know that the harddrive was reformatted and put back into
  action a year ago.
   
  I suspect we will want to replace the harddrive. So the question becomes:
  is it an easy operation to install a new drive as slave, copy everything to it,
  then remove the old drive and move the new drive to primary? Can the new
  drive be of any size, not smaller, than the original?  Is there a restriction
  on the type of drive to buy?
   
  Just planning ahead, just in case.
