Subject: TSGL: AVG Anti-Spyware Locks Up PC Occasionally???

Anyone else who's using the AVG Free Anti-Spyware product having
problems with the updates occasionally locking up your pc when you do a
scan?? It's kinda weird, after doing an update, in about 1 out of every
3 or 4 times when I start to do either a Complete System Scan or Fast
System Scan, my desktop will lock up. I mean totally lock up, I have to
do a power down and cold reboot to start it up again. It almost always
happens within the first 1-2 seconds after I click on either the
Complete System Scan or Fast System Scan. I think it starts out
scanning Memory so I assume someone there is causing the lockup.
Sometimes when I reboot and try the scan again, it will run OK. Today I
tried it four times and it locked up each time.

My desktop is an HP Pavillion running XP Home, 512 memory. I have never
had the problem occur when running the AVG AS product on my laptop,
which is also an HP running XP Home and 512 memory.
Any thoughts welcome.
