TSGL: ac adaptor overheating

I don't think i made myself clear. This is where the power supply connects 
to the laptop. which causes the metal connector piece to get hot...The cord 
itself does not get hot.  The connection area gets hot also.   Fan tends to 
run excessively.  Battery does not overheat nor hard drive.
