TSGL: Network attached storage

To All,

Is anyone out there using network attached storage?

I'm looking for a drive I can attach to my router using an Ethernet 
cable that will be accessible from all the machines on the local 
network. I want it mainly for back up but if it supported a printer also 
(making a non-networked printer into a networked printer) that would be 
a bonus.

If you have one I'd like details about the brand and model and it's 
reliability, ease of use, speed, etc. The etc includes all the things I 
don't yet know enough to ask.

I've poked around the net reading various reviews but many units seem to 
generate at least a few negative user comments and I don't know enough 
to decide if their complaints are valid.
