Wayne,

1. I would search the registry for it's name, if found backup the registry-branch + delete it.
2. Run HijackThis, get it from http://www.tomcoyote.org/hijackthis

  A friend has the above on his computer.
  It has replaced his homepage.
  Tools>internet options> homepage will allow me to return his preferred homepage
  for a short time but awsomehomepage.com soon takes over again.
  The search option will not find it.

  Sooo... I need help to find and destroy this.

  Windows XP Home with all updates.   Using IE and OE.
