Run a boot-time scan with Avast, that way the viruses are not loaded yet and
can't protect themselves.
Right click the Avast icon, select Start Avast Anti-virus
once it's open select the Menu link(top left button)
and select Schedule Boot-Time Scan. and select Local Disks and accept.
Restart your computer and let it scan, you'll have to stick around while
it's scanning as it will wait for a response from you when it finds a virus.
