There's  a free version. I haven't used it myself and I don't know if it 
will  address your problem so I guess you're on your  own.>



I have been using Network Magic for several months and I think it's  great.
It has a troubleshooting tutorial which instructs you to unplug the power  
from your modem for a short time and reconnect to solve connection  problems.
Apparently many modem misfunctions are caused by heat.
