TSGL: Make your internet faster, safer, smarter.

I tried setting it up the DNS settings in my wireless router, and it seemed
to struggle. I'm getting internet service thru Comcast cable. Anyway, I
removed the fixed settings from the router and configured each of my three
systems separately to use opendns and I've been very happy. It makes sense
to do it that way regardless on my laptop since I travel with it.

Still sounds worth pursuing then. Does anyone use opendns through an
internal DSL modem? I wonder if it's possible that it has to go through a
router, although I can't imagine why?

Sorry if I'm a little late in replying but everything is working very
nicely. And, yes, H Davis is right....I've found that all of Yahoo loads
much faster. I haven't had any major difficulty that I can point out. I did
run the tests and everything was fine. Probably not much help, but hope you
can get it sorted out. ( I seem to be confused about the order of these
emails lately.....I feel like I'm in a time warp.)
HTH, good luck.

I missed the beginning of this thread (if there was one) but I've been
using OpenDNS for about 4 months now with really good results.
When I used my ISP for the DNS lookup, Yahoo would almost always time
out when looking up a news story but if I then clicked on the "Try
again" button the page would come right up. I assume the IP address
arrived at my ISP just after the time out so they had it the second time
I requested the page but it was a real PIA.
No problems at all with OpenDNS. Had to set their IP addresses into my
router though for Internet access.
