For days I have been reading all the replies to Chuck's original email below
which was received in my Westnet mailbox today (March 04) at 9:14 am. When
I click on File - Properties in his email they confirm what is written
below, i.e. it was sent on Feb 26 at 2:09 am as indicated.
This six days and seven plus hours transmission time "beats" the delay that
I experienced before in the "Re: TSGL: Messages not going through ??" thread
(five days and five plus hours). I note also that the one I sent on Feb 28
in that thread has not yet arrived in my mailbox. I have copied and pasted
that message at the bottom of Chuck's.
I am sending this email on March 04 at 1:45 pm.

(I have deleted all the extra footers with TSGL info that get tacked on each
time a message is sent, but I have left the rest of the emails as they
were.)

Hi, John and all.
For the records, John's email below (Feb 23 at 4:00 am) from NSW, Australia,
was received here in north Queensland, Australia, this morning (Feb 28 at
9:36 am). Wherever you are in NSW, John, I could drive there in less time
than it took your email to reach me. So much for instant communication.
I can see from these emails that this is a List problem. However, in your
case, John, it may be exacerbated by the fact that you are with Bigpond. I
will not go into details here unless requested, but in the past I have noted
lengthy delays (of hours and even days) in the properties of various emails
involving Bigpond. (I don't normally check an email's properties but did so
only because of the specific circumstances on those occasions which involved
our personal email at home and also the business email at the legal office
in which I was working at the times they occurred there).

Glen,
For your info, your message in reply to mine (below) took just 5 minutes
from the time of your sending to my receiving it here in east coast Oz.
As I write this at 18:00 UTC (06:00 AEDT - local) my posting on this
subject has not come back to me.
