TSGL: Eudora settings

Don,

I have seven email addresses in Eudora 4.3. To send email under a
different address, click on Tools, then Personalities. Then click (or right
click) on either new or account. (it's been so long since I set up my
second email account, I can't remember how it looks when you just have
one). You can then set up your second email address/account. Repeat to
set up additional addresses.

Once you've set up your addresses, you can go back to Tools/personalities,
click, and choose the one you want to send from. Or if you have Eudora set
up like I have, with the list of mailboxes/folders on the left in a box,
you will see just below that, outside of the box, 5 icons. The one on the
far right has 2 heads. Click on that for Personalities, and choose the
address you want to email from.

I hope this helps. Over the years, I have been reading TSGL and never had
an answer, so I am pleased to know this one. You have been a tremendous
help to me, Don. Thanks.

Lynn

Is there any way in which you can have alternative "from" addresses? When I
open a new outgoing email page, it doesn't seem possible to overwrite the
"from" line with an alternative email address.

Nor does the facility seem to exist for more than one address in
Options/Sending mail as far as I can see. Is it possible in later versions?

She can do it in OE.
