Marko,

all I can do is point you to their support site http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/support/

They should know the answer.

Subject: TSGL: acronis incremental backs up HUGE chunks

i already posted a description of my problem on the list a while ago, but it
hasn't gone away. now i have more detailed info:

i tried backing up the entire document disk with acronis 9 and here's what
  happened:
the first backup was a full one, as it should be. this backup took up about
20GB on my backup disk which is ok - my documents take up about 50GB and i
  specified compression.
the problem is in the incremental backups - each takes up about 650MB. there
is *no way* i modify that much data each day!

how does acronis determine which data was modified? does it take the most
space-efficient way and backs up only the modified *files* or entire folders
in which those files are? how deep does acronis go?

  thanks!

  Marko
