TSGL: LCD monitor turns black

Glenn,

Your LCD monitor has fluorescent lamps behind the screen to illuminate 
it. The bulbs have a life of 10-50 thousand hours give or take. Have you 
been using it that long?

On the other hand, you probably have a relatively small 4:3 aspect ratio 
screen. Maybe it's time to step up to something larger and wide 
screen????? They're not that expensive any more.
