TSGL: LCD monitor turns black

To Russ, John and H Davis, "thanks" for your good
advice. I called a friend last night who has an extra working LCD and he
agreed to let me try it out on my computer, come this Thursday, to see if
the problem persists. If his LCD "works," I'll pursue the alternative
suggestions you guys gave me. I'll let you know what happens.
