Recently the power supply in my 4 yr old PC went belly up in a cloud of
smoke.
A friend gave me an old power supply and I installed it even though my old
one was 340 watts and this one is 175 watts.
I don't do any game playing or much CD burning so I thought I'd be OK.
Now I notice that the volume is quite low when playing music files.
Could this be caused by the low watt power supply?
I thought that if a power supply was overloaded it would just turn off.
What other problems am I likely to encounter if I keep using this PS?
