TSGL: Task bar freezing

Sounds like the computer may be a bit too busy for the amount of memory and
the computing power it has.

Questions to ask ... How much memory do you have available on the computer?
What type of CPU are you running? What are your virtual memory settings? How
many programs start with the computer? Is your CPU constantly busy?

By the way, if my ignorant questions damage your computer in any way, you
must consider the source. Also, remember my advice is worth just about what
you paid for it.

Subject: TSGL: Task bar freezing

Hi all

Working with XP PRO (all current updates) and MS Office 2003 (all
updates) (2 GB RAM)

Every thing works good and I will have 3 or 4 files open and
minimized to the task bar.. and a couple of other tasks running

When I go to open an item that is on the task bar (or use the Window
Key (IE for the windows Explore) the pc hangs for anywhere from a
few seconds to a few minutes.

What I have found tho is that All items on the task bar and the
window key will be frozen BUT any Icon that I have on my desk top
will still open right up.

any ideas
