All that flakiness (rebooting, progs won't install, etc) sounds to me more
like mechanical failure, eg overheating, bad RAM, intermittent partial
power-supply failure)---but I assume you've checked carefully for all these.
Have you tried running on a single stick of RAM, in an alternative slot?
(one contaminated Ram contact pin could be enough to cause all this).
Presumably you've been running Speedfan or similar to check temperatures.
If you still suspect virus, make sure you disable all System Restores (on
each drive). Viruses sheltering in SR won't usually be picked up by most
a-v scans, and can re-emerge later.
Just a thought. But I've no doubt you've been through all that---
