TSGL: Solve this one, if you can!

Hi ED,
been there, suffered that very same fate ...
I've had to try out 2 or 3 different mail addresses as well and also tried
gmail for some time, until the server finally accepted my current one I
believe after it was set up new (would have preferred my standard list
address instead). For some time I had even subscribed 2 different addresses
together.
I've had contact with M.Cermak repeatedly over this, that riddle however
could never be solved. From my point of view it's probably an issue with
TSGL's list software or the server or - I'm just guessing - some kind of
spam control this server uses. My own ISP denied that they did interfere
with e.g. some of those (silly by design) spamfilters or any blacklisting
settings.
Unfortunate as it is, I can't offer any solution for this specific problem.
What I've done myself:
Over here in Europe we have several places which give you working
email-addresses for free, addresses that can be processed through POP3 using
OE. So this is what I would try, until one of them eventually DOES work.
Don't know whether you have a domain & website of your own. I've got one
with unlimited email addresses and am ready to offer you a handful for free
;-)
(I know this may bring up privacy concerns, which OTOH wouldn't be really
grave if you only use it for TSGL communications).
Best wishes
Tilman

Subject: TSGL: Solve this one, if you can!
With cooperation from our list owner, in an endeavor to have my posts
appear, as yours do, on my computer screen, I have subscribed to the list
using three different email addresses. I tried one; failed; unsubscribed
that name, and subscribed a second name. Then a third, which is this and
is
successfully reaching the list server for posting.
I am using XPPro, SP2. My email client is Outlook Express 6. In the past,
the first address worked well (edlynn at the-beach.net), but then stopped
being posted by he list server. I unsubscribed this address, and
subscribed
using edlynn at usa.com, which also failed to be posted.
--
However, after unsubscribing that address, and resubscribing as
edlynn at gmail.com, the post goes through, BUT only if I compose and send it
through the Gmail interface. It will not get posted when I use Outlook
Express 6 for composing and sending to the list.
All of my mail goes through, via Outlook Express, including mail directed
to
"List-request at tsgserver.com" and "Listt-owner at tsgserver.com", BUT not "
list at tsgserver.com".
In order to send this post, I had to leave OE and open Gmail, compose and
send it from there. But, I can read all the list's posts in OE, but can
only
respond via Gmail
interface.
What prejudice lurks in the tsgserver, or somewhere else, that disallows
my
"edlynn" sent by OE?
BTW, the mailman does not issue a "bounce" of the 'no show' posts.
ED
