I tried to send the below quoted email, but OE thwarted the attempt by
refusing to send the email via my 'loalhost' - my cable ISP.
I think that I'll give up, and hope that what I send will actually go. After
all, I can read all the responses. LOL

Following your suggestion, I altered the SMTP for Gmail on Outook Express6.
It is now going out under 'localhost' with the from being edlynn at gmail.com.
I am composing this reply in OE and sending it along as per above settings.
