TSGL: Outlook Express

Hello all,

When I click Send and Receive with OE I get a window with 
"Checking for new messages on Provider" and "Receiving List of Messages from Server"

It takes some 25 secs to run from left to right, then any messages are downloaded reasonably fast. The 25 secs applies even when there are no messages.

My wife's PC has exactly the same settings but the operation is almost instantaneous.

I've tried switching off the firewall and AV, to no avail.

Any ideas?
