Hi all, I'm fighting with a friend's XP-Home PC which sometimes boots fast and at other times takes an eon. I've created plenty of free space on C: cleared out Temps, optimised the registry, defragged, looked at autoruns and checked out everything else I can think of but to no avail. Any ideas how best to get to the bottom of this? Thanks, John OD/G
