TSGL: Word

Thanks, Tilman. I have tried changing the autorestorefiles location, since I had already put the documents somewhere else. I'm using the German version because it contains English and German, whereas the English version has French and Spanish, but no German. It's better for grammar and spell checking.

Thanks, also, to Alan for the suggestion. If I get desperate I might try a repair installation, but at the moment it hardly seems worthwhile.

It was interesting to get two answers on 26th and 27th after posting the query on the 16th. Wonder if things are being delayed again, at least from here?

John,

haven't seen such problem sofar. What I would check is Tools | Options and
there the tab where you can set the locations for saving user options
(settings), documents, backups etc. I would try to set a location for
options there and check Word's behaviour again. Guess behind this is that
Word is perhaps reading your settings from a wrong place.

Cheers
Tilman
