TSGL: Start-button problem

Thanks Alan,
I don't have a UPS, so will have a go at trying what you suggested and 
changing the battery if the computer really does work this way then. Don't 
know how old this computer is but never experienced an empty CMOS battery so 
far and think, we had older computers than this one, but since we always are 
swapping around in the family and I even get parts back when my son got 
something better and all such, I have lost trace of how old all the parts 
that make this computer are. And as you say, I have learned quite often as 
well that Computers are not logical at all, so why not think of this now and 
as you say it is a cheap way of trying out! So will do that.
