TSGL: Corrupted recycle bin on USB drive

Hi,
I'm using a Vista machine with 4 HD drives. Two internal drives of 340
GB each and two USB drives with 250 GB each. One of the USB drives is
used for back up while the other is for recording with Media Center. I
recently checked the drives for errors. I used the build in tool in
Windows (which you find under Properties/Tools for each drive) but for
some reason, the tool stopped working when I used it on the USB drivers.
To continue, I used the good old cmd promt instead and wrote the command
chkdsk N: /f
(N being the drive letter for the USB drive).
The process went fine on both USB drives but later, I keep getting an
error message from one of the USBs saying "The recycle bin for drive N
is corrupted". This error message will come when I delete a file, rename
a file, add new folders. I used the chkdsk N: /f command again but the
result is the same. Note that no errors was reported by the chkdsk
command. The content on this drive is important to me but not crucial as
I have no private files or pictures there. Just recorded videos.
So my question is
1. Do you think my whole USB drive is in danger for a crash?
2. Can I do something to avoid having a corrupted recycle bin?
Many thanks for all answers!
