TSGL: Firefox add-ons

Do you have any other copies of Firefox saved somewhere else? I know at one
point I had a similar problem because I had Firefox on my memory pen and my
computer. At one point I would launch Firefox from the desktop and get one
version and then launch from the quick launch taskbar and get the memory
pen's copy.

If that's not it, you sure the process itself is closing completely before
relaunching?

Has anybody else been having problems with Firefox 
addons after an update?

I know that it disables some of the addons after the 
update, but I have a different problem.

If I try to install a new addon, I get the message that 
the "addon will be installed when fire fox is 
restarted". If I restart firefox, the addon is not 
installed and the restart message remains. If I restart 
numerous times nothing changes.

The same thing happens when I try to uninstall. I get 
the "uninstall when restarted" message. But after 
restart(s) the addon is still there with the restart 
message.

Even worse, If i try to set options in some of the 
addons, nothing happens. If I click again, I get the 
dreaded MS "Thunk" sound and firefox is locked up.

Any ideas as to what's causing this?
